Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to develop a global sourcing strategy for commodities. The role leads cross-functional teams to optimize total cost of ownership, manage category plans, and negotiate key supplier contracts.

You will conduct market research, assess supplier capabilities, and drive KPI performance across savings, risk, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will empower IPTs across business areas to identify new sources, mitigate risks,

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing and data literacy skills.
• Strong business acumen, skillfully navigating functional priorities while delivering business objectives.
• Ability to develop business cases, presentations and stakeholder communications.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, LMP2P, etc) and e-sourcing tools.
• Experience identifying and mitigating supplier risk, including single-source dependencies, financial instability, and regulatory compliance.
• Supply Chain Management experience related to building and executing long term contracts.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
• Ability to Lead Cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Project Management.
• Strong Organizational Skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops a global sourcing strategy for commodities (categories).
• Build and manage category strategies that optimize total cost of ownership and drive value.
• Define project scope and facilitate execution, identifying savings opportunities.
• Negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with suppliers.
• Implement policies and metrics to realize savings goals and performance requirements.
• Act as the main focal point for all matters pertaining to the given category.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Achieve KPIs for assigned procurement categories (savings, risk, sustainability).
