Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in the United States seeks a Casting Process Owner to lead equiaxed, directionally solidified, and single‑crystal casting across multiple locations.

You will standardize practices, drive process improvements, and ensure safe, high‑quality production of jet engine components and turbine parts. This role requires 8+ years in investment casting, strong SPC knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• BS in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years engineering/manufacturing experience in investment casting or related casting processes.
• Experience developing engineering specs, standards or procedures.
• Experience leading cross-site technical initiatives.
• Strong understanding of statistical process control and quality systems.
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel ~50%.
• ITAR eligibility to work in the US (US person) and no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead equiaxed, DS, and SX casting processes across multiple locations.
• Standardize casting process best practices to improve safety, quality, yield and productivity.
• Lead optimization of casting materials, furnace and related equipment.
• Share best practices across sites through cross-site workshops.
• Develop and update BU casting standards and specs.
• Collaborate with Research Center to align manufacturing and R&D objectives.
• Transition new casting technologies from R&D to production.
• Conduct internal process audits and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with equipment build teams to improve casting facilities.
• Monitor industry trends and represent Howmet in external engagements.
• Act as BU technical authority for casting process questions.
