Job summary

Goodwin Procter Boston is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications professional to ensure accurate posting of daily receipts to the general ledger and monitor banking activity. You will collaborate with Billing, Collections, attorneys, and secretaries to resolve complex transactions and ensure timely cash application.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent required or preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• 3+ years of financial experience in a related role; law firm or professional services is a plus.
• Proficiency in ERP software and Excel; strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely application of daily receipts to the general ledger.
• Monitor daily banking activity.
• Collaborate across Finance-Billing and Collections, Attorneys, Secretaries to resolve transactions.
• Reconcile cash received to GL and resolve variances.
• Provide real-time updates and daily summaries to Finance and firm leadership.
