Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Project Manager to join our Capital Execution team. You will lead capital projects from FEL through Start-Up, coordinating design, procurement, construction and controls across global sites with a focus on safety, quality and delivery.

Required: engineering bachelor's, 5+ years managing capital projects, 3+ years in chemical environments, 2+ years in field construction or contract management, strong communication, and ability to travel ~40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years in a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum 2 years in field construction or contract management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in capital projects in the $1M-$20M range.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to execute smaller, less complex projects with limited resources.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead by influence.
• Strong team-building skills.
• Experience with engineering/design contractors and project scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and coordinate staffing with resource managers.
• Ensure all team members understand roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Establish clear communications with project stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading: scope, estimates, funding requests, schedules and design basis.
• Drive scope, cost, schedule and resources; manage deliverables and quality.
• Control changes per the project Management of Change policy.
• Promote project processes per Chemours Project System.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation and problem-solving sessions.
• Ensure design standards and internal/external agreements are followed.
