AFB International is seeking a Senior Global Project Engineer to lead major capital projects at the Aurora, Missouri facility. This role spans concept to handover, coordinating across engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, EHS, finance, and leadership to deliver on time and within budget.

You will guide charters, scopes, schedules, and cost estimates, manage multi-project portfolios, and mentor engineers while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance across manufacturing operations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of engineering and capital project experience.
• Proven success delivering multiple capital projects $1M+; $5M+ experience preferred.
• Experience leading projects through design, bidding, construction, commissioning, startup and handover.
• Familiarity with HACCP, cGMP, food safety and regulatory requirements.

Mansioni

• Lead complex, multi-discipline capital projects from identification through handover and closeout.
• Develop charters, scopes, schedules, capital requests, risk registers, cost estimates and execution strategies.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, contingencies, change control and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Finance and leadership to set priorities and reduce production impacts.
• Select and coordinate engineering firms, construction managers, contractors, OEMs and consultants.
• Support procurement, bid reviews, contract negotiations and governance.
• Establish stage-gate reviews, decision logs and executive reporting.
• Lead constructability reviews, value engineering, field coordination and turnover documentation.
• Coordinate process, mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, civil, and other disciplines.
• Identify risks and resolve execution challenges; ensure compliance with standards and site procedures.
• Support long-range capital planning and asset evaluations; drive readiness and post-project reviews.
• Mentor engineers and promote repeatable, high-quality practices across facilities.
