Job summary

AFB International is seeking a Global Projects Engineer to lead major capital investments at our Aurora, Missouri site, guiding projects from feasibility through closeout and improving safety, capacity, reliability and operational performance.

You will coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Finance, Supply Chain, and external partners to ensure projects are on time, within budget and safely integrated into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• At least five years of engineering and capital project experience in industrial manufacturing or process environment.
• Experience leading projects through full lifecycle: design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup and closeout.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, change control and project closeout.
• Ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs, specifications and contractor submittals.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple, complex projects with cross-functional partners to deliver on safety, schedule and budget.
• Develop scopes, estimates, schedules, budgets and business cases.
• Establish governance, risk registers, change-control processes and reporting.
• Coordinate procurement, design reviews, and construction activities.
• Direct commissioning, startup, turnover and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, food safety and site procedures.
