The Global Manufacturing Capacity Engineer will join the Cable Backplane Systems (CBS) Global NPI organization in Valley Green, PA, with travel across regions.

The role requires translating forecasts into production plans, maintaining end-to-end capacity models, and delivering executive risk assessments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing capacity planning or factory modeling in high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of cycle time, OEE, yield, and line loading.
• Ability to translate forecast into production requirements and communicate assumptions.
• Experience with Power BI, Excel; ERP/MRP, MES, SQL a plus.
• Willingness to travel 15-30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the CBS global manufacturing capacity planning model and establish a single view of demand and capacity.
• Translate forecasts into production hours, line capacity, shifts, and site loading by month.
• Define standard capacity assumptions, including cycle time, OEE, and ramp curves.
• Consolidate site data across multiple locations for consistent comparison.
• Provide executive visibility of capacity coverage, gaps, and CapEx requirements.
• Maintain short-, medium-, and long-range capacity models by program and site.
• Model ramp capacity through NPI and production ramp phases.
• Identify bottlenecks and quantify gaps to determine root causes of constraints.
• Evaluate alternative site allocations and cost/risk tradeoffs.
• Convert capacity gaps into equipment and line requirements and plan CapEx.
