Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking a Capacity Optimization Project Manager (West) to lead complex warehouse turn-ups and facility transfers across a broad regional footprint. You will drive standardized project playbooks, manage 3PL engagements, and partner with East and West teams to deploy scalable capacity solutions.

The role requires 3–5+ years in logistics and strong skills in Google Sheets, Fluxx, and API integrations.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in logistics, large-scale warehouse operations, distribution center turn-ups, or 3PL management.
Proven ability to manage complex turn-up projects using a centralized playbook and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day operations during site turn-ups, resolving roadblocks and guiding 3PL execution.
Facilitate execution of turn-up projects using a centralized project management platform, tracking milestones and 650+ steps.
Investigate and resolve administrative tasks and system bugs to keep workflows unblocked.
Generate automated status updates and executive summaries for regional leadership.
Identify trends and elevate risk proactively during new facility implementations.
Oversee project trackers, fix broken links, and maintain accurate workflow queues.
Manage location code setups and resolve related logistics requirements.
Use capacity dashboards to deliver regional roll-ups and leadership reports.
Communicate clearly to elevate issues and coordinate with East and West teams.
Consolidate processes into a single source of truth and map new tech into workflows.
