Job summary

Westlake in Houston is seeking an Associate Director, Business Insights to lead enterprise-wide BI and strategic analytics, turning financial, operational, and macroeconomic data into actionable insights for senior leadership. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field required; advanced degrees desirable.
• 10–12 years progressive experience in business analysis, FP&A, strategy, or market analysis.
• Strong Excel proficiency; experience with financial software desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary business insights partner to the VP Finance with forward-looking analysis.
• Lead design and execution of a BI/data strategy integrating financial, commercial, and economic indicators.
• Present insights to executive leadership, tailoring messages to audiences.
• Oversee dashboards (Power BI) with macroeconomic data and market indicators.
• Integrate external data sources with internal data for performance insights.
• Perform regression, econometrics and other quantitative analyses to forecast outcomes.
• Build forecasting, scenario, and sensitivity models linking economic drivers to margins.
• Support medium- and long-term plans with economic outlooks and option evaluations.
• Translate analyses into concise narratives and drive action.
• Build the function by hiring and developing personnel and fostering a culture of insight.
