Position Requirements

Defense Sector Experience and a DoD Security Clearance is required. We seek a seasoned Business Development Director specializing in the U.S. Defense Sector to join our global team. This role is based in the U.S., focusing on expanding Ericsson’s presence in North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage strategic programs and initiatives to drive market development in the US Defense sector.
• Lead efforts to boost mobile communications innovation for the US Defense sector and align with Ericsson’s strategic goals.
• Shape how defense organizations leverage mission-critical connectivity for operational excellence.
• Collaborate with US teams to develop and deploy solutions supporting the DoD's FutureG plans.
• Oversee strategic initiatives, partnerships, and industry engagement activities.
• Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure initiatives meet milestones and deliver quantifiable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field; extensive experience in defense market (minimum 10 years).
• Deep understanding of the critical communications market, government procurement, and operational requirements.
• Experience in managing complex technology solutions and business models over long lifecycle periods.
• Strong leadership, strategic vision, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to create and execute strategies that influence industry standards.
• Experience in US Defense sector business development, government procurement, or critical communications.
• Security clearance as required.
