Job summary

KBR in the Houston, TX / DC area is seeking a Principal Benefits Specialist to design, implement, and administer multinational benefits programs. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and vendors to deliver compliant Total Rewards solutions and an outstanding employee experience.

The role requires 7+ years in benefits or Total Rewards, strong vendor management, and advanced Excel skills; you will influence decisions, lead implementations, and ensure regulatory compliance across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in benefits, Total Rewards, or a related function.
• Experience in multinational or complex organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer benefits programs across regions.
• Administer enrollments, renewals, lifecycle activities with accuracy.
• Manage benefits vendors and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Support vendor implementations, RFPs, change management, audits.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal to deliver program outcomes.
• Resolve complex employee issues related to eligibility and claims.
• Support annual enrollment processes and employee communications.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA and international rules.
• Maintain data integrity in HRIS and benefits systems.
