Job summary

Atoms in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Benefits Manager to lead global programs across the US and multiple countries. You will partner with HR and Finance to design, implement, and administer comprehensive health, retirement, and leave offerings while optimizing cost and compliance.

Based in our SF office, you will own renewals, enrollments, and program benchmarking, reporting to the People team. This role offers a competitive base salary and equity eligibility with a performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• Global benefits experience across multiple countries.
• Experience managing benefits vendors and brokers, renewals, negotiations.
• Experience with open enrollment, renewals, and program administration.
• Ability to partner with HR, Finance & leadership on benefits strategy.
• Experience improving benefits processes and working with HRIS or benefits platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage benefits brokers, vendors & carrier relationships.
• Design and implement global programs supporting Atoms’ benefits philosophy.
• Manage US renewals and open enrollment planning, budgeting & cost sharing.
• Oversee US compliance filings and audits (e.g., 5500).
• Guide People team on benefits administration responsibilities and inquiries.
• Manage global design, implementation, and administration of benefit plans (health, welfare, retirement, leave).
• Conduct benchmarking and cost-efficiency analyses for programs.
• Seek process improvements and solutions.
• Manage a small team of benefit associates.
