Job summary

Clifford Chance US LLP seeks a Business Development professional to support the Project Development & Finance Group, collaborating with partners, lawyers and BD colleagues to drive growth through targeted marketing plans.

You will work hands-on across strategy, research, events, and thought leadership, coordinating BD activities regionally and globally to convert opportunities into revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional services business development, preferably in a law firm.
• Strong interest in and understanding of relevant products for this role.
• Commercial awareness of the legal market development related to this role.
• Ability to develop advisory relationships with partners.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications; team-oriented and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of BD and marketing plans aligned with firm strategy.
• Track progress against plans and ROI on a periodic basis.
• Assist with regional product and market research to inform marketing decisions.
• Maintain output quality to meet partner expectations.
• Develop and shape BD product offerings and initiatives with stakeholders.
• Promote BD offerings within the product group and the firm.
• Identify market trends and opportunities for BD across region and globally.
• Provide input into significant product pitches and capability statements.
• Organize BD client events, seminars and conferences; coordinate sponsorships and PR.
• Support creation and distribution of thought leadership materials.
• Collaborate with Brand, Communications and Public Affairs to drive reputation.
