Job summary

Forge Biologics, Columbus, OH, seeks a Director of Business Development – CMC to drive strategic growth for the AJIPHASE platform, coordinating North American clients with Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services teams in Japan.

You will generate high-value leads, oversee technical CMC coordination, negotiate MSAs and SOWs, and travel domestically and internationally to build and maintain partnerships with biopharma players.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences or business with substantial pharma experience.
• 3–5 years of dedicated experience in Business Development.
• 3+ years of hands-on CMC experience in pharma/biotech or CDMO.
• Experience with CRM data architecture and CMC documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Generates high-value sales leads and active clinical/commercial pipeline opportunities in North America for AJIPHASE® platform.
• Coordinates technical project workflows to align Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) with target clients.
• Facilitates cross-border communications with AJIPHASE® teams in Japan.
• Negotiates and structures MSAs and technical SOWs to win and finalize client programs.
• Presents AJIPHASE® capabilities to industry executives at conferences to develop leads.
• Travels domestically and internationally to maintain client relationships.
