Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Background Check Specialist to support end-to-end screening for employees and contingent workers in a regulated environment.

You will review criminal and non-criminal results, OFAC checks, and fingerprinting, then adjudicate findings per policy. The role partners with Compliance, Legal, HR Ops, Talent Acquisition, and Security to ensure audit readiness and risk management across regions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
3+ years in background screening, onboarding operations, or HR operations.
Experience administering background screening programs and adjudication workflows.
Knowledge of FCRA, sanctions screening, and related compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Administer end-to-end background screening for employees and contingent workers.
Initiate, monitor, and track investigations within onboarding timelines.
Coordinate screening by worker type, geography, and regulatory requirements.
Review criminal and non-criminal results, OFAC checks, and fingerprints.
Apply adjudication guidelines and conduct case reviews per policy.
Partner with Compliance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and HR Ops on cases.
Support adverse action processes and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Identify risks and drive improvements across screening workflows.
