Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking an Awards Manager to oversee CNN Worldwide's awards program from strategy through execution.

You will manage about 150 annual submissions across journalism, documentary, digital and industry competitions, aligning strategy with editorial leadership and coordinating with multiple CNN Worldwide teams. You will lead submission campaigns, ensure compliance with rules, and serve as a trusted resource on awards strategy across CNN Worldwide, while coordinating

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in entertainment, news or media.
• Exceptionally organized, thorough and detail-oriented.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of concurrent projects with deadlines.
• Self-motivated and collaborative across teams and departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior executives and partners.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays during peak submission periods.
• Experience managing awards programs or campaigns is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNN's annual awards strategy and execution across ~150 competitions, managing the process from eligibility review to nominations and post-awards communications.
• Partner with editorial leadership to develop submission strategies and identify strongest entries.
• Ensure submissions are compliant, accurate and aligned with category strategy.
• Manage entry forms, materials, video clips, photography and assets within deadlines.
• Collaborate with editorial, production and communications to gather materials and submissions.
• Maintain relationships with awards organizations and coordinate communications.
• Oversee budget tracking and ceremony logistics, including nominee communications and credentials.
• Draft timely announcements for nominations and wins for internal and external audiences.
