Job summary

thyssenkrupp Presta North America seeks a Project Leader to manage tk Steering Column and I-shaft projects with global teams across the USA, Mexico, and Europe. The role requires acting as the CEO of the project to meet performance, quality, cost and timing targets.

The position demands strong leadership, CAD/DFMEA/DFSS expertise and Lean Six Sigma proficiency, with APQP/PPAP familiarity and collaboration with Product Development and suppliers. Up to 25% travel worldwide is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred); advanced degree or MBA a plus.
• 3+ years automotive or related industry experience.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, CAD, GD&T, FEA, FMEA, and problem-solving methods (5D, 8D, DMAIC, DFSS, Lean Six Sigma).
• Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes; experience with engineering statistics and DOE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead tk Steering MPLC process from nomination to end of life.
• Manage data in Agile PLM and project systems.
• Release products, documents, and components in Agile PLM.
• Define design parameters: print dimensions, BOM, testing.
• Lead change management and validate/test plans.
• Lead D-FMEA and risk mitigation; manage RFQ and prototype builds.
• Coordinate timing across Purchasing, STA, Suppliers, and Plants.
• Travel up to 25% domestically/internationally as needed.
