Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required.
• 15+ years of technical automation experience; large global initiative or capital project.
• 5+ years leading technical teams regionally or globally.
• Experience leading virtual teams and regional/global rollouts.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical/biotechnology regulatory expectations.
• Subject matter expertise in distributed control systems, SCADA, PLC, instrumentation/controls.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a virtual Community of Practice of site automation leaders with global engineers.
• Set the internal standards for automation across AbbVie manufacturing sites.
• Lead experts to support site automation managers and operations managers.
• Oversee development and implementation of automation training programs.
• Support Global Sourcing on contracts for automation systems and services.
• Provide audit support to site automation teams for consistent practices.
