Job summary

CHEP is seeking a Global Automation Project Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of advanced automation across the Service Centre of the Future. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Safety, Finance, and Quality to implement scalable automation, AI, and digital twin initiatives.

You will manage large capital projects, create Capex documents, supervise installation, and ensure environmental compliance while delivering training and handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years in automation or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, AI/ML, and digital twins.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex automation projects from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale automation projects, including capital engineering and IoT solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, HSE, Finance, Quality and suppliers to drive success.
• Prepare Capex documents with cost estimates and technical specs.
• Manage installation, commissioning, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver training materials and ensure seamless handover to operations.
