Job summary

Goodwin is seeking an Audit Response & Conflicts Attorney to join its Global Operations team in a dynamic, global environment. You will coordinate audit response processes, perform conflicts analysis, and advise on risk management for clients and matters.

In periods of lower audit letter volume, you’ll support matters related to conflicts, business intake, and ethical walls, collaborating with attorneys and business professionals to ensure compliant, timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Admitted to practice in a state where the Firm has an office.
• Experience with conflicts/business intake systems and ethical wall software (Intapp), document management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience at a large law firm or in-house counsel.
• Ability to analyze complex legal, ethical, and business issues and provide practical, risk-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate audit inquiry response process from intake to audit response letters.
• Review auditor requests and supporting documents to ensure policy compliance.
• Identify pending or threatened claims for disclosure in audit responses.
• Collaborate with partners to gather information for audit responses.
• Interface with Finance for unpaid fee-related inquiries from auditors.
• Draft, revise, and finalize audit response letters with client relationship partner.
• Monitor deadlines to ensure timely responses.
