Job summary

Westpac in New York seeks an Associate or Senior Associate in Asset Finance to originate, structure and execute large-ticket asset-finance transactions. The role covers both the New York and UK/European teams, reporting to the Director, Asset Finance in New York.

You will manage client relationships, model cashflows, and contribute to policy and market development while maintaining strong risk controls in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years banking experience or equivalent analytical role.
• Exposure to structured lending desirable.
• Strong work ethic and detail orientation.
• Ability to build internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of existing clients and asset finance needs.
• Attain working knowledge of asset finance structures.
• Develop sector research and client presentation materials.
• Assist in RFPs, termsheets and credit applications.
• Model cashflows and returns using Excel and inhouse systems.
• Close transactions through approvals and documentation processes.
• Support policy development and strategy projects.
• Build external networks with banks to drive dealflow.
• Balance duties with a strong risk management approach.
