Job summary

Macquarie in New York is seeking an Associate in our Business Operational Risk team for the Specialized Asset Finance unit across the Americas. You will provide independent risk oversight and partner with front-office and control functions to identify risks and strengthen governance.

You will lead risk assessments, incident reviews, and governance reporting within a global financial services environment, supported by a hybrid work setup and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk management, non-financial risk, business controls, audit, compliance, or a related risk discipline within financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, including risk assessments, control testing, issue management, governance processes.
• Knowledge of capital markets, commodities, asset finance, structured finance, banking, or related financial products.
• Experience reviewing new business initiatives, transactions, product approvals, or change management activities from a risk and control perspective.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent operational risk oversight and advisory support to the Specialized Asset Finance business across the Americas.
• Partner with front-office teams and corporate support functions to identify emerging risks and assess control effectiveness.
• Lead risk assessments, incident reviews, control assurance activities, and governance reporting.
• Review new initiatives and change activities to ensure risks are identified and mitigated before implementation.
