Job summary
LyondellBasell is seeking a senior APC&O specialist to maximize production, optimize energy use, and reduce emissions across global polymer units. The role leads high-value APC&O projects, mentors engineers, and collaborates with sites to implement advanced control strategies.
The position requires 8+ years in APC in petrochemicals, with polymer experience preferred. Based out of Houston area (HEC) or any North American LYB site, it offers global impact and innovative technology adoption
Qualifications
- APC experience in polymer or petrochemical processes required.
- Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 8 years APC experience in petrochemicals; polymer experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of process control theory and APC&O concepts.
- Ability to lead global initiatives and collaborate across sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-value APC&O projects at global sites.
- Define and support regulatory control strategies for APC applications.
- Consult with sites to prioritize APC&O projects based on benefit.
- Provide training and develop documentation, standards and procedures for APC&O.
- Mentor engineers and lead APC&O networks across sites.
- Evaluate new AI-based APC&O technologies to gain competitive advantages.
- Develop KPIs for proactive and reactive monitoring of APC&O applications.
