LyondellBasell is seeking an EP Process Engineer for Evansville, IN. The role monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes operating units to drive process and product improvements.

The engineer will detect deviations in quality, capacity, yield and energy, proposing strategic projects and collaborating across teams to improve unit performance. The candidate should have a BS in engineering and 5+ years in the petrochemical industry, with at least 2 years in Engineered Plastics.

• BS Degree, engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the petrochemical industry with at least 2 years working with Engineered Plastics.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Self-motivation and high initiative.
• Advanced technical understanding of unit processes.
• Knowledgeable in chemical and process engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to apply engineering concepts to solve performance problems.
• Knowledgeable in the development of Process Design Packages and related economics.
• Good troubleshooting skills and techniques.
• Leadership skills to drive technical solutions.

The EP Process Engineer will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize operating units to drive process and product improvements at our Engineered Plastics sites. During a typical day they will apply technical knowledge to detect causes of deviations in quality, capacity, yield, and energy consumption. The individual will identify, recommend and implement strategic projects to improve unit performance. A process/production engineer will also collaborate with unit specialists and other engineers to support process design and implementation of capital projects. #LI-RH1

This role must sit at one of our EP manufacturing sites.

Locations: Evansville, IN (EBO) or Akron, OH (AKO)
