Job summary

Bank of America in Pennington, NJ is seeking a data engineer to design and deliver AML data solutions that support technology and business goals. You will collaborate with multiple development teams to refine data requirements and build scalable pipelines.

Responsibilities include developing data pipelines, data quality controls, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy of AML processes, while participating in code reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, developing, and supporting data solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining data pipelines, reporting solutions, and workflow automation.
• Strong experience with SQL and large-scale data processing.
• Experience supporting production environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Ability to analyze complex data problems and develop practical, scalable solutions.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with technical and business partners.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and control processes.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Works across development teams to refine data requirements and deliver data in the lifecycle.
• Leverages architecture components to clean, transform, and control data in systems per criteria.
• Builds data pipelines and complex datasets to enable data-informed decisions and identify risks.
• Develops and executes test plans; contributes to test suites and analyzes results.
• Drives IT projects to ensure on-time delivery and adheres to processes.
• Documents data engineering requirements for deployment, maintenance, and support.
• Collaborates with partners to close gaps in data management standards and communicate solutions.
• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains data pipelines, reporting solutions, and data products for AML.
• Builds data integrations and automation to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Develops scalable, reusable data components for multiple applications.
• Supports day-to-day AML data platforms including monitoring and optimization.
• Analyses data requirements and translates business needs into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoots production issues and implements sustainable fixes.
• Participates in code reviews and testing to ensure quality and standards.
• Contributes to platform resiliency, performance tuning, and disaster recovery testing.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Supports the Agile delivery process and seeks process automation opportunities.
