Job summary

Bank of America in Jersey City is seeking a senior data engineer to drive the design and delivery of complex data solutions across operational and analytical systems.

You will lead data integration, cleaning, transformation, quality controls and data lineage, while partnering with Product, Engineering and Security teams.

Mentor junior engineers, support migrations, automate data pipelines, and ensure reliable, compliant data platforms that enable data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of applicable experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with RDBMS platforms (Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 LUW, Oracle).
• Data Lineage and ADS sourcing management experience.
• Experience with database migrations.
• Experience with Informatica.
• Regulated environments are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads story refinement and delivery of requirements through the lifecycle.
• Codes complex data integration, cleaning, transformation, and control tasks.
• Leads documentation of system requirements and feasibility.
• Leads test planning and contributes to integration/regression tests.
• Shares data management standards with technology partners and stakeholders.
• Leads complex IT projects and builds data pipelines for data-informed decisions.
• Mentors Data Engineers and monitors KPIs and controls.
• ADS management and regulatory data lineage tasks.
• Creates automation scripts for data migration, reconciliation, and integrity checks.
• Collaborates with database teams to resolve issues and supports cutover and stabilization.
