Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA/JD preferred.
• 8+ years in biopharma across R&D, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Business Development & Licensing, or related discipline.
• 4+ years in Alliance Management with alliance partners and as part of an alliance or account team.
• Direct pharmaceutical/biotech alliance and licensee management experience; governance and renegotiation experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the biopharmaceutical value chain and global product development and commercialization.
• Proven success leading cross-functional, global teams and projects with senior leaders.
• Experience designing strategic initiatives for organizational alignment and change in a matrixed environment.
• Strong influencing, negotiation, collaboration, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent written, oral, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Judgment, analytical thinking, decision quality, and proactive entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of global alliance and licensee partnerships to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Serve as the primary relationship leader for assigned partnerships, driving governance and performance.
• Develop and execute strategic and financial plans for alliance portfolios, including forecasting and market assessments.
• Lead or support BD transactions, including acquisitions, divestments, licensing activities, and renegotiations.
• Design and implement alliance management processes, tools, training, and best practices.
• Establish alliance governance structures, including joint committees and executive reviews.
• Monitor contractual obligations, partnership health, risks, and performance metrics; develop mitigation plans.
• Build cross-functional relationships and influence teams for successful execution of objectives.
• Ensure alliance activities comply with Takeda policies and evolving requirements.
• Coach stakeholders and foster a culture of excellence in alliance management.
• Travel <20% including international trips.
