Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco is seeking a Workforce Program Manager to scale Global Affairs' workforce initiatives and Certifications programs. The role focuses on building partnerships with workforce organizations, community colleges, nonprofits, employers, governments, and other institutions preparing people for an AI-enabled economy.

You’ll translate OpenAI's workforce vision into practical programs that help people build AI skills, gain confidence using AI, and access new economic opportunities,

Qualifications

• Experience managing partnerships and programs within workforce development, education, nonprofit, or public-sector environments.
• Strong relationship-management and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Experience executing multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with workforce organizations and strategic partners.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Global Affairs Certifications partnerships.
• Support partnership design, implementation, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
• Coordinate with partners to establish goals, success metrics, and reporting structures.
• Support the launch and execution of workforce initiatives focused on AI literacy, upskilling, and economic opportunity.
• Collaborate with Academy, Certifications, GTM, and Product teams to align programs and resources.
• Develop playbooks and implementation guidance for workforce partners.
• Monitor outcomes and synthesize learnings to inform future programming.
• Represent OpenAI at conferences, workshops, and partner meetings.
• Facilitate trainings, roundtables, and stakeholder discussions.
• Help identify emerging workforce trends and opportunities for impact.
