Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Technical Program Manager in San Francisco to lead planning, execution, and operations of global programs across the Applied AI Engineering team. You will translate customer priorities into actionable programs, manage milestones, risks, and delivery with cross-functional teams, and own internal tooling and adoption efforts.

You will collaborate with AIE, Sales, Product, and partners to scale successful approaches globally and shape industry strategy while improving execution

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology-industry experience in roles like technical program management.
• Strong technical fluency in AI, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise deployment tradeoffs.
• Experience with hyperscalers, ISVs, or consulting firms preferred.
• Led large-scale global initiatives from design through multi-region rollout.
• Turn customer signals into industry viewpoints and prioritize investments.
• Built internal workflows or tooling; used BI to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery and operations for a portfolio of global AIE initiatives.
• Co-own industry strategy with AIE and GTM leaders across regions.
• Identify bottlenecks and root causes; prioritize actions and allocate resources.
• Lead the design of reusable technical workshops for regional teams.
• Collaborate with hyperscalers and partners on industry use cases and launches.
• Own roadmap, quality, and lifecycle of API demos, blueprints, and field playbooks.
• Design and run field-wide technical campaigns to move customers toward adoption.
• Improve internal operating mechanisms, tooling, and dashboards for delivery and adoption.
