Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, seeks a Senior Infrastructure, SRE & AI Platforms Manager to shape the long-term strategy for global infrastructure powering Services Special Projects.

You will lead a multi-tier team across AI workloads, Kubernetes, and hybrid/multi-cloud compute, driving automation and operational excellence. You will create scalable platform designs, balance performance and cost, and partner with executive teams to translate business needs into engineering roadmaps.

Qualifications

• MS Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience building, scaling, and operating mission-critical infrastructure platforms and global services.
• Hands-on and architectural mastery of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud operations (AWS, GCP, private data centers).
• Operational, and AI infrastructure experience for training and inference workloads with scheduling and high-performance storage/networking.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term technical vision and capital investment strategy for global compute, storage, network, observability, and AI infrastructure.
• Lead a globally distributed team of engineers and drive organizational alignment with business goals.
• Establish standards for SRE, capacity planning, and operational excellence across platforms.
• Oversee AI compute at scale, scheduling, and interconnects for training/inference workloads.
• Oversee hybrid and multi-cloud compute across AWS EKS, GCP GKE, and on-prem/bare-metal.
