Placements24 is seeking a distinguished AI Ethics & Governance Lead to establish responsible AI practices across the organization, operating remotely. You will shape the approach to ethical AI, collaborating with diverse teams and external bodies to set high standards and mitigate risks.

This senior role involves leading governance across the AI lifecycle, advising on data privacy, fairness, and interpretability while navigating regulatory developments to ensure societal benefit.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (Law, Philosophy, Public Policy, Computer Science, or Ethics).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology ethics, AI governance, or responsible innovation.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and their ethical implications (bias, fairness, transparency, accountability).
• Experience developing and implementing ethical frameworks, policies, and compliance programs.
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the organization's AI ethics and governance framework.
• Lead initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate ethical risks in AI development and deployment.
• Establish guidelines for data privacy, fairness, bias detection, and model interpretability.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, engineering, and product teams to embed ethics across the AI lifecycle.
• Provide training and thought leadership on AI ethics to internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and industry standards related to AI ethics and governance.
