Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead a globally distributed team across the US, India, and Poland, setting strategic technical direction and delivering scalable software solutions for healthcare customers.

You will partner with Product, Program, clinical and security teams to balance innovation, delivery, quality, and regulatory compliance, while shaping cloud-native, AI-enabled platforms and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead a globally distributed software engineering org across US, India, and Poland.
• Define and execute an AI-first engineering strategy with automation.
• Establish standards and architecture for scalable, secure software.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud, edge, data, and analytics platforms.
• Oversee full SDLC with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and quality practices.
• Partner with Product, Program, clinical teams, and stakeholders.
• Influence roadmaps and investment priorities balancing value and sustainability.
• Develop engineering leadership and a global operating model across regions.
• Ensure solutions meet cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate strategy and risks effectively to executives and teams.
