Job summary

RELX seeks an AI Content Optimization Lead for Global Legislation within Global Editorial Operations. The role defines and implements AI-assisted content creation, quality improvement, and scalable workflows across North America, UK, APAC, and other markets.

The candidate will partner with Product, Technology, Editorial leaders, and stakeholders to embed AI capabilities into editorial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and AI-ready content aligned with digital-first ambitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; law degree preferred.
• 5+ years in content, publishing, legal editorial, product development or project management within legislative or regulatory domains.
• Extensive experience with legal content across codified and common law systems.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI, LLMs, automation or NLP within content or workflow optimization contexts.
• Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and to budget in a global environment.
• High proficiency in data analysis, performance measurement and insight reporting.
• Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the global AI content optimization strategy for legislative and regulatory content.
• Lead global ideation, requirements gathering and prioritization cross the group for AI-enabled content generation, summarization, enrichment, classification and optimization.
• Partner with product management, engineering, editorial managers and project management to translate ideas into scalable roadmap deliverables.
• Oversee design, testing and global deployment of AI-driven editorial tools and workflows.
• Develop and maintain global standards and guidelines for AI-generated or AI-optimized content to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Champion AI-first editorial practices to reduce manual work through automation.
• Support metrics frameworks for AI-enabled content quality, workflow performance and model behavior.
• Use data to report insights and performance to senior leadership.
• Keep abreast of market trends and NLP capabilities, translating innovation into practical editorial applications.
