Job summary

Volvo Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Aftermarket Buyer to manage supplier performance within the aftermarket portfolio. You will select suppliers, secure QDCF performance, and drive cost, delivery, and quality improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive purchasing or related experience (sourcing, negotiations, contracts).
• Experience in automotive manufacturing and aftermarket.
• Strong business acumen and agile in way of working.
• Desire to work in a collaborative team toward a common purpose.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies to improve supply chain performance and quality.
• Drive negotiations and executive agreements with suppliers within your portfolio.
• Contribute to portfolio business plan and participate in the global Buyer network.
• Collaborate with global supply chain to develop and execute strategies.
• Use VPS toolbox to drive efficiency across the supply chain.
• Deliver on QDCF targets and monitor risks with SNQ team.
• Forecast cost evolution and manage product/process changes.
• Perform daily purchasing activities related to aftermarket orders and logistics.
