Job summary

Volvo Group North America, LLC is seeking a Specialist Engineer for Vehicle Maintainability in Greensboro, NC. The role focuses on monitoring maintenance data to identify trends, proposing corrective actions, and coordinating with multiple teams to optimize product maintainability across brands.

You will mentor peers, drive maintainability strategies, and support global roadmaps while documenting customer needs for measurable requirements and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in aftermarket heavy‑duty truck industry.
• Must have 4 years of experience handling automotive purchasing processes.
• Must have 2 years of experience in each of: developing automotive services products, performing data analysis, developing strategy for automated data analysis, performing PowerBI development, using VR/AR in automotive product development, and working with export market products/exports aftermarket.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze vehicle maintenance data to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Recommend corrective actions and coordinate with GTT functions locally and globally.
• Mentor team members and support maintainability strategies across products and technologies.
• Drive concept reviews and packaging studies to optimize maintainability.
• Document customer needs and translate into measurable maintainability requirements.
• Conduct maintenance cost analysis to support concept selection.
