Job summary

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Inc. seeks a Global Accounts Payable Manager to lead end-to-end AP operations across US and international entities. You will manage vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and global payment runs while ensuring SOX compliance and internal controls.

You will drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across global AP operations, partnering with Procurement and Finance stakeholders. The role is based in Boston with hybrid work flexibility and some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years in a public-company accounts payable role; biotech/pharma preferred.
• 2+ years of people management, ideally with dispersed teams.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with Coupa and AP/P2P automation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounts payable operations across multiple countries, currencies, and entities.
• Oversee vendor management, invoice processing and employee reimbursements.
• Own global payment runs and AP mailbox.
• Lead travel and expense reimbursement, including policy oversight and Concur optimization.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, local regulations, and company policies.
• Drive standardization of AP processes across regions while accommodating local needs.
• Manage regional AP teams, including performance management and training.
• Serve as escalation point for complex vendor issues and audits.
• Partner with Procurement to improve P2P efficiency and vendor experience in Coupa.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities for AP, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Lead AP participation in internal and external audits; drive remediation of findings.
• Drive automation initiatives (invoice capture, workflows, ERP enhancements).
• Monitor KPIs like invoice cycle time, payment accuracy, and aging.
