Job summary

Zendesk in Jersey City is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to lead tax, accounting, budgeting and forecasting for US entities and select global entities. You will manage month-end closes, tax filings, and crypto-related licenses, ensuring compliance with US and international regulations and coordinating with auditors.

The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented self-starter with at least 5 years in corporate tax and strong US GAAP knowledge. Full-time on-site role in Jersey City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation or finance is required; master’s in tax or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, including public accounting or industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, federal, state, local and international tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy; self-starter attitude.

Responsibilities

• Managing month-end close for US entities, including revenue/cost recognition, reconciliation, inter-company cost sharing and AP/AR.
• Open new accounts including bank, crypto, and OTC accounts.
• Optimize payments, budgeting and cost analysis to improve efficiency.
• Maintain internal cash reconciliation and payment review.
• Oversee foreign subsidiaries’ bank and crypto accounts.
• Manage preparation/review of federal, state, local and international tax returns.
• Ensure timely filing of tax forms/payments; support audits.
• Develop tax strategies to minimize liabilities and advise on tax implications of transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax agencies; liaise with legal and other departments on crypto license matters.
• Provide tax training to internal stakeholders; ad hoc tasks as needed.
