Job summary

Chainlink Labs is seeking a Tax Manager with deep U.S. international tax expertise to support fast-paced blockchain initiatives. This role partners across finance, legal, engineering, and product to ensure compliant global structuring, tax planning, and accurate tax filings.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of relevant experience, CPA preferred, and a track record of building processes in startup-like environments. All roles are remote-based with overlap to EST where possible.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of U.S. international tax and global advisory/compliance experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and related reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities with ability to form well-supported tax positions.
• Exceptional communication skills, with ability to simplify complex tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience coordinating external tax advisors, managing deliverables and budgets.
• CPA preferred; Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting required.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical global tax guidance on new products and initiatives.
• Own U.S. international tax calculations (GILTI, FDII, FTC, Pillar 2, BEAT) and review filings.
• Prepare quarterly and annual international tax provisions and monitor changes in tax law.
• Conduct extensive tax research and develop well-supported positions.
• Support global transfer pricing documentation and compliance with TP policies.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, treasury, legal, GTM, engineering, product, and operations teams to optimize tax positions.
• Lead global tax planning, modeling and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
• Manage external advisors and budget oversight for cost-effective outcomes.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in tax processes.
