Job summary

Mourant is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Global Accounting team, delivering technically accurate accounts and periodic reports for a varied client portfolio including unit trusts, companies, partnerships and foundations. You will also manage day-to-day activities and act as role model to junior colleagues.

Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, coordinating monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports, maintaining accounting records, and building strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent with up-to-date UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with Viewpoint and QuickBooks.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Entitled or registered status for Jersey required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of team members and ensure work is planned and allocated to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues across accounting locations, providing explanations and accounting support as required.
• Act as a role model to junior colleagues to build and motivate a high-performing accounting team.
• Review accurate and timely financial statements including complex accounting work.
• Review monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in client entity databases and ensure transactions are well understood.
• Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers.
