Job summary

BST & Co. CPAs, LLP, a multi‑disciplinary accounting firm based in Latham, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting for diverse clients.

You will supervise accounting specialists and ensure timely close, robust controls, and accurate statements while guiding system implementations and process improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or Associate's Degree with requisite experience.
• Experience with a CPA firm environment and/or outsourced accounting services.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting solutions such as QBO, Sage Intacct, Fund EZ, NetSuite, Workday, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Manage client accounting projects from planning to completion, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
• Develop and implement accounting systems and processes tailored to client needs.
• Provide financial insights and advisory services to support clients' business decisions.
• Conduct regular client meetings to discuss financial performance and strategic opportunities.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting specialists.
• Assign and review work, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Monitor team workload and project status to ensure efficient resource allocation.
