Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Accounting Manager within the Global Accounting group to lead closing, controls, and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a team, review results, and partner with cross-functional teams to support monthly and quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and 10-Q/10-K filings.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in accounting (including public accounting), strong US GAAP knowledge, and ERP experience (Workday/Oracle).

Qualifications

• 6+ years total accounting experience including public accounting
• Experience with Workday Finance, Oracle or other large ERP
• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills with large data sets
• Solid US GAAP knowledge and SOX controls

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close with variance analysis and journal entries oversight
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure, IT, and Finance teams
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls; maintain documentation
• Lead schedules for 10Q and 10K financial reporting
• Apply ASC 350-40 and ASC 350-50 to accounting for internal software and website costs
• Coordinate with internal and external audit teams and provide schedules and evidence
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and data reconciliation
• Mentor and develop accounting team members and oversee their work
• Lead special projects to completion
