Zusammenfassung

K&L Gates is seeking a Global Controller to lead the firm’s worldwide accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and regulatory compliance across 40+ offices. You will guide policy development, system enhancements, and strategic financial initiatives while managing a dispersed accounting team.

You will partner with the CFO and senior leadership to drive operational excellence, financial planning, and performance insights across the global practice.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a controller or senior equivalent role.
• Experience in professional services, law firm, or other partnership environment desired.
• Experience managing complex, multi-entity, multi-currency accounting operations in a global or international environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and multi-jurisdictional financial compliance, internal controls, and external audit processes.

• Direct and oversee the accounting function, including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting across 40+ offices.
• Oversee preparation and analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements with statutory compliance.
• Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls and risk management frameworks; maintain documentation.
• Lead international financial compliance initiatives and manage external audits; liaison with auditors.
• Develop and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and best practices; drive process improvements and system optimization.
• Oversee liquidity management and credit covenant reporting; coordinate with treasury and finance teams.
