Job summary

Spinato’s is seeking a Heart of House Lead to guide our kitchen during shifts, uphold Spinato’s standards, and support the Manager on Duty. You’ll mentor HOH team members, ensure throughput, and maintain food quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous kitchen or culinary leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to lead, coach, and support a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Current Food Handler Certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver high-quality food that meets Spinato’s standards.
• Support the Manager on Duty with kitchen operations and shift execution.
• Assist with coordinating HOH positions including prep, pizza line, sauté, and expo.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Help train, coach, and support HOH team members during shifts.
• Monitor ticket times and ensure efficient kitchen flow during high-volume periods
• Step in to assist with food preparation and line support during peak times.
• Communicate effectively with FOH to ensure accurate and timely order execution.
• Reinforce Spinato’s policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused kitchen environment.
