Job summary

Corning is seeking a Glassmaking Met Supervisor to lead a technical team in a 24/7 manufacturing setting. The role focuses on driving equipment reliability, process improvements, and safe production performance while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a technical engineering degree and at least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience, with a proven ability to troubleshoot using data analysis and control charts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Experience leading or supervising technical teams in production/industrial environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues using data analysis, control charts, and process feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of technical contributors focusing on troubleshooting and improving equipment and process performance.
• Maintain equipment operability and prioritize production schedules with quality, cost, and efficiency goals.
• Apply data-driven analysis to proactively identify and resolve production and equipment issues.
• Manage department budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities in repair, maintenance, and supplies.
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, IT and others to support equipment utilization and new process deployments.
