Job summary

BVB Glass is seeking a Project Manager to own and drive glass and glazing projects from submittals through closeout in Champaign, IL. You will coordinate resources, interface with contractors and clients, and safeguard project profitability and schedule.

The role requires strong construction knowledge, organization, and problem-solving abilities, with onsite work in a 90-year industry leader known for safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational construction knowledge reading contract documents, plans and specs.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with problem-solving, integrity and initiative.
• Basic computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of glass and glazing projects from submittals to closeout.
• Prepare and manage front-end submittal documents to secure client approvals.
• Monitor projects to analyze schedule and cost, applying field corrections to protect profits.
• Coordinate labor and materials with office staff to optimize daily productivity.
• Interface with general contractors and clients to resolve bottlenecks and maintain relationships.
• Evaluate profitable change orders and assess smaller new opportunities.
• Maintain organized project schedules, digital filing, and timely monthly billings.
