Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Forming Supervisor to oversee hourly union employees on one shift in the forming department, ensuring adherence to customer specifications and safety standards. You will monitor production, quality, and attendance, maintain records, and coordinate with other departments while complying with environmental and food safety policies.

Prior experience in glass forming and supervisory duties is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years in glass manufacturing with emphasis on forming.
• Experience with mold repair and machine repair.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and planning abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk environment.
• Able to work outside regular hours.
• Able to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a proactive safety environment including good housekeeping and zero accidents.
• Maintain effective relationships within the department and with other departments; develop labor relations.
• Maintain timely records such as attendance, production, quality, training, and discipline.
• Monitor production efficiencies and quality; provide corrective action plans with employees.
• Comply with environmental and food safety standards per plant policies and programs.
