Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler I in South Chesterfield, VA to join a production team manufacturing glass doors and related components. You will assemble parts, inspect quality, and participate in end-of-line checks to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of assembly experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and other benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of production assembly experience.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk/sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble component parts into subassemblies or completed units following instructions.
• Inspect parts or assemblies using gauges, calipers, fixtures, and other tools.
• Perform end-of-line checks and repairs as needed.
• Communicate changes to assemblers, leads, and supervisors to maintain specs.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Suggest in-line and downstream checks to improve first-pass yield.
