Job summary

EuropTec in Chicago, IL is seeking a Cutting Line Technician to operate multi-stage cutting equipment with precision. You will monitor grinders, washing lines, and conveyors, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires adherence to maintenance schedules, basic math skills, reading blueprints, and the ability to work hours with overtime. A structured training path may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school/courses preferred.
• 1–2 years experience with complex machinery or completion of four-week internal training.
• Ability to operate the line independently and perform minor repairs/housekeeping during production hours.
• English reading and speaking to understand the Daily Production Plan.
• Ability to perform basic math and use a caliper for size measurement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust sequential breakers and grinders.
• Set up and operate washing machines and prepare washing solution.
• Monitor water tanks, air knives, and conveyors for proper operation.
• Record rejects and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance under supervision.
