Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Machine Operator GL3/Vemag for the 2nd shift in Ohio. This role requires precise adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and the ability to modify programs based on equipment and product needs.

You will be the final quality checkpoint before product reaches customers, perform safety checks, operate pallet jack/forklift, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Benefits include paid vacation, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in General Production 2.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years’ production industry experience preferred.
• Understand and comply with company, plant, and safety rules/policies.
• Basic understanding of production procedures.
• Ability to use knives, saws, and a variety of machinery.
• Ability to lift, load, cut and package product with both arms/hands.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment and conveyors.
• Monitor production lines, identify issues, supply and replenish packaging materials as necessary.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to meet specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials from the process.
• Arrive prepared to perform tasks at scheduled times; overtime may be required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up, tear down of equipment; adjust settings as required.
• Use proper lifting, bending, and reaching techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned; report safety concerns or hazards.
• Operate pallet jack, riders, and forklift equipment; perform Lock Out/Tag Out.
