ServiceSource, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support full-cycle accounting for HUD housing programs and multiple entities.

You will prepare and review journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close to ensure GAAP compliance. The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and collaboration with management, program teams, and external auditors, including 990 schedules and regulatory filings, while driving process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 3-5 years of progressive general ledger or financial accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in US GAAP and FASB with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with large ERP systems (Workday, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience in nonprofit or government-contract accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting cycle for HUD entities and housing programs.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Oversee general ledger across multiple entities per GAAP.
• Prepare consolidated statements, footnotes, and management reports.
• Coordinate external audits and Form 990 schedules with leadership.
• Drive process improvement and automation within accounting.
• Mentor junior staff and provide training on standards and tools.
